This nesting box has been handcrafted to encourage a habitat for Bluebirds.
These birds are found throughout North America and have been found migrating as far south as Central and South America.
Though migratory, sometimes they are found year round at the same location.
They are found actively in dry pine flatlands, mixed pine scrub and other hardwood forests to a scattering of trees.
Nesting is diverse, with their common breeding time in late winter to early spring, usually laying 3 to 5 eggs, pale blue in color.
As many as 2 clutches have been raised by the same pair in one year.
Their diet consist of caterpillars, meal worms, other small insects and small fruit.
